We celebrated Eagles of the Month last Tuesday and want to share the names of these awesome students with our community.  Please scroll to the very end of the email to see this month’s Eagles.  Congratulations! Thanks to our Volunteers! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped plan and carry out the fun Halloween parties for our students.  It was a fun event for them, and we appreciate your help!

Face Masks

Just a reminder to include a spare face mask in students’ backpacks as they come to school.  Several students are forgetting their masks and then don’t have a spare in their backpack either.  We have given out three masks to every student and plan to give out another one in the next few weeks.  Thanks for helping us stay safe and stay in school!

#TrotForTech Virtual 5K: A Fun, Healthy Fundraiser to Provide WiFi and Computing Devices to Students in Need

While many traditional celebrations that take place this time of year might look drastically different this season, the Canyons Education Foundation is planning an event that ticks all of the boxes: It’s fun, it’s for a good cause, and the entire community can participate.

The Canyons Education Foundation’s inaugural Virtual Fun Run kicks off Nov. 22-28, and provides an opportunity for participants to complete a 5K that is safe and will benefit members of the community through a fundraiser for Internet connectivity and computing devices for students in need.

“We know there are individuals who would love to help out within the District, so this is a way for employees and our own student families to be able to help other student families,” said Denise Haycock, Development Officer for the Canyons Education Foundation.

Those who wish to participate in the fun run can visit this link to sign up.

Dear Eagles,

What a cold morning today!  Anytime the temperature is 22 degrees or lower, we don’t have the students line up outside to wait for the first bell.  All students are invited inside to wait in the hallway by their classroom.  Recesses may also be inside on these super cold days.  Please be sure to send coats, gloves and hats with names on them so students can be outside if it warms up through the day.  Today we had morning recesses inside, and by lunchtime we were able to have recess outside.
