2023-24 SCC Meeting Schedule (ZOOM LINK)
Continue with the second Wednesday of the month at 7:15 AM in the library and via zoom.

● 5/8/24-Final meeting for this school year Land Trust/TSSP review, school focus

● Current Data
○ Updates: benchmark information make ups needed still but we have preliminary data

● 24-25 TSSP
○ Updates on the plan–we had to adjust monies because of differing amounts. LISA REPP and I

didn’t have the correct amount. It was shared with administration in May in an email, and neither of us received it, so we were using what we thought was the correct amount.

  • Took out the second MTSS Behavior Aide for $25,000
  • Took out $3,000 for field trips

● School Snap Plan updates

○ Safety plan update: Sandy City reached out and they have a section of a plan with no information on how students travel safely across 13th East. Mrs. Jones added the description of how they travel to submit the update from several years back. Students walk along 13th east to the light at Granada, then travel up Granada.

School happenings

● New Administration
○ Principal, Assistant Principal, and Instructional Coach. Starting transition right away, they officially step

into positions in June. Possible SCC meeting with new administration? Mrs. Jones will be working with the new administration until June 30th.

  • New Principal- Amiee Wagner
  • Assistant Principal- Angela Oviatt

■ Instructional Coach- Tammy Dautel
○ Concern of staff moving rooms. We will still move forward with the plan, even with new administration.

  • Safety/Hygiene reasons to move ACC students into the building.
  • Joining rooms to allow for more fluid inclusion/support
  • Staff designed maps to accommodate ACC needs then voted on the winning choice.
  • If new administration wants to address staff concerns, they can.
  • Concern for moving but only 2nd and 4th are moving locations.
  • ●  Kindergarten 24-25–posted to website and will send a ParentSqure to community-approved
    • ○  Canyons District is full day but legislation has said we need to offer 1⁄2 day options.
    • ○  Interested parents need to contact Mrs. Jones to discuss options
      • Must be AM to get all core instruction
      • If we have a 19th student interested, they would have to commit to 1⁄2 for the year then we would have to have a 1⁄2 day class. Teacher would then teach 2 1⁄2 day sessions.
  • ●  Door Update:
    • ○  Closing device should be removed and changed over the summer.
    • ○  Checking pressure to ensure doors close
  • ●  Custodian Update
    • ○  Currently we are in between custodians
    • ○  Richard Moore will start in June
