Monday Minute 10.25.21

Dear Parents,

We have noticed that some parents are parking in the handicapped parking stalls during drop off or pick up that don’t have a handicapped sign on their vehicle.  We have several students in our school whose families need that parking spot to get out a wheelchair or crutches for their child.  Please help us keep those spaces open for our families that need them.  Thank you!

More information about our Halloween Parade is included in the dates section of this email.

Volunteers

Our Halloween parties are coming up this Friday.  If you are planning to volunteer in the classroom or on a fieldtrip (4th grade has a field trip this Thursday!), you must first do the online district application.  This application must be done annually, so if you’ve signed up in previous years you must do it again.  We can’t let parent volunteers in without this approval.  Please make sure you have taken care of this before you come in to volunteer.  We don’t want any disappointed students or parents!  The link is below and is included on every Monday Minute.

Kindness Is Cool

Here are some more examples of kindness happening at our school these past couple of weeks.  We have the best students!

Rigby Young & Nolan Tadehara (5th grade) – Collected everyone’s iPads while others were finishing their Lego projects and put them back in order.

Emma Thor & Alex Taylor (5th grade) – Put away everyone’s iPads as the class was leaving. It helped SO much as a different grade was coming into the room

Luke Lunt (4th grade) – saying thank you to Mrs. Baird for holding open the door

Luke Tanner (1st grade) – helping students log into a new app

Sylvie Sanchez (1st grade) – switching seats

Lincoln Randall (Kindergarten) – helped a friend who was sad
