Kindness Is Cool
Here are some more examples of kindness happening at our school these past couple of weeks. We have the best students!
Christian Stout (5th grade) – Finished several 4th grade Lego cars so they could all have one for the acceleration experiment.
Edison Merket (1st grade) – picking things up in our classroom
Max Smith (4th grade) – helping students wait safely for the bus
Abrielle Mendoza (Kindergarten) – being a good example to a friend by doing her work
Della Call (Kindergarten) – helping a friend know how to do his work

PTA News
The school choir is starting up and students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade can participate. Practices are on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7:30 and will start tomorrow, Oct. 19th.
PTA Membership:
Be a voice for your child! Just $6.50 to provide national, state and local advocacy for your student. No participation/volunteering is required beyond signing up as a member, but you are always welcome!

Oct. 20-21st—SALTA Testing
Oct. 20th—Kindergarten Fieldtrip
Oct. 22nd—School Picture Retakes
Oct 25-29—Red Ribbon Week
Oct. 29th—Halloween Parade will be outside at 8:30 in the morning. Class Party times will be determined by each grade level. More details to come.
Nov. 5th—Career Day
Nov. 23rd—Last date for parents of kindergarten students to apply for the Dual Language Immersion program starting in 1stgrade. Parents and guardians can apply online anytime from Oct. 4 to Nov. 23. Siblings of current DLI students must also apply.
