Dear Parents,

Thank you for coming to Parent Teacher conferences last week!  We appreciate connecting with you and sharing the progress of your child.  Report cards will be coming home tomorrow with your child.

Fifth Grade Maturation Programs

See info about times and dates where this will be held this month at the end of the Monday Minute.  The first meetings are being held this week.  Thanks!

Silver Mesa Host Family Needed

We have the opportunity to have a Spanish Language and Culture Assistant at Silver Mesa for the upcoming 2023/24 school year.  This individual will come from Spain to assist our students and needs somewhere to live. Hosting a Spanish Language and Culture Assistant gives you and your family the chance to learn about new cultures and create lasting friendships.  It can be a highly rewarding opportunity for your family and a wonderful way to discover a different perspective than your own cultural understanding.

Host families need to provide a private room and meals for the assistant.  Walking distance to the school is preferable.

Please let me know if you are interested in this incredible experience.

Kindness Is Cool

Here are some examples of kindness happening at our school these past couple of months.  We have the best students!

Romeo Huxhold (4th grade) – helped clean cafeteria without being asked

Lennon Alder (3rd grade) – earning a reward and then giving it to her friend

Azaylea Olson & Arabella Zank (5th grade) – for always being willing to help

Taytum Christiansen(5th grade) – making sure everyone around her is successful

Kirana Burkhour (4th grade) – stopping in after school to see if I needed help with anything

Porter Clement (4th grade) – letting me know his friend was hurt and needed help at recess

Ryker Terry (1st grade) – sharing the swing with another student when they were playing at recess
