Principal Update and Discussion: DLI Program Changes –

Information

Principal Wagner presented on DLI changes for 1st grade 2026-2027. Ginger

asked if the program is so popular and brings in so many students, why cut it?

Principal Wagner discussed overall declining enrollment and FTE. Discussed

need for neighborhood classes. If we continue with current model we won’t

have enough for a neighborhood class. Hoping this model will allow for 2

neighborhood classes. Asked about long-range planning. Currently Silver Mesa

is not in discussion for changes.
