Land Trust/TSSP review, school focus (Current TSSP)

○ Signatures needed confirming we heard the discussion with TSSP and Land Trust and we agree

School happenings

  • ●  Chosen to do the Acadience testing by the district starting April 22nd.
  • ●  Staffing Updates
    • ○  New assistant principal
    • ○  2 teacher openings for next year, opportunity will be brought to faculty prior to posting
    • ○  Hired Ellen McCloy-full time para in ACC
  • ●  Map Changes

○ Will be finalized today.

  • 4th in portables, 2nd moves to where 4th is and ACC moves to where 2nd is.
  • Many factors to consider to formulate best map

● School Fundraiser (Spring) SCC and Faculty

○ Spring fundraiser- “fun run”, Jog-a-Thon on May 10th. Virtual platform, money used for field trips and technology. PTA didn’t raise as much as needed to cover student field trips next year. Information to come.

● Encouraging movement for students before and after school
○ Watch dogs to supervise and patrol for safety-could they run structured games/activites morning before

school?

  • ○  Rotation of games- Reinforcing skills they learn through playworks
  • ○  Large benefits of getting students moving before school-academics, relationships
  • ○  Supervision and structure needed to prevent behavior incidences
    • Mrs. Jones and Chanci Loran will meet to organize something with PTA and Watch Dogs.
    • Playworks district coach agreed to provide training to start a program

● Door Updates

  • ○  fixing doors to latch, heavier doors
  • ○  rebadging the doors
