Dear Parents,
Next Monday is our Field Day for all students. Please have your students bring a water bottle and sun screen as they will be outside for the afternoon. Thanks, PTA, for planning a fun day for our students!
Staffing
We have a couple more staff moves for next year:
Megan Guzman, 2nd grade DLI, will be moving to the 5th grade DLI English position next year
Lisa Coleman, 2nd grade, will be moving to 2nd grade DLI English position for the next school year
We wish them the very best!
Lunch choices
In the next two weeks the cafeteria may run out of main options and offer another option. We call this Manager’s Special or Surprise! This may happen with notice at the beginning of the day or it may happen last minute. Students may change lines for another option if their choice isn’t offered.
Kindness Is Cool
Here are some examples of kindness happening at our school these past couple of months. We have the best students!
Hunter Norman (Kindergarten) – put away a chair for someone who was absent
Jaxson Eldredge (4th grade) – being kind & picking up and organizing a shelf of books that spilled
Avery Rankin & Rosie Lowder (4th grade) – cleaning up trash on the playground
Cayson Young (4th grade) – helping pick up a mess of papers in the hall without being asked

May 16th—Acadience Testing for grades 3rd-5th
May 18th—Kindergarten Program for parents; 1:30; gym
May 19th—Spirit Day: Ultimate Spirit Day! Pick a previous Spirit Day you loved and come to school celebrating your favorite spirit day: Pajama Day, Silly Hair Day, Sports Day, Friend Day, etc!
May 22nd—Field Day for grades K-5th; School lunch will be sandwiches
May 22nd—Last Day for Kindergarten
May 23-25th—KEEP testing for all kindergarten students; Please sign up for individual appointments (instructions sent last week in Parent Square)
May 23rd—Fifth grade dance
May 26th—Last Day of School; Dismissal at 12:20; No lunch served this day
