Consent Agenda – Action
- Approval of October 20, 2025 Minutes HERE
Chanci Loran made a motion to approve Consent Agenda Item: Approval of October 20, 2025. Kristi Kunzler seconded the motion. All present members voted in favor – Motion carries.
Discussion Items
- Discussion: Safe Walking Routes – Action
SCC reviewed the current Safe Walking Routes.
Concerns for city/municipality:
- Safety concerns for students walking needing to cross 1300 E.
- SCC would like Sandy city consider an additional crossing guard for 1700 E and Granada
- Principal Wagner will reach out to Silver Mesa SRO to ask for additional patrols after school to monitor
Concerns for local LEA and School:
- Back fence or barrier between school walkway to back playground and parking lot
- Signage for dogs and idling
- Discussed concerns about “blind spots” behind portables without cameras.
Jonelle Redzikowski made a motion to approve current safe walking routes as written with submissions for considerations. Kiley Rasmussen seconded the motion. All present members voted in favor – Motion carries.
- Principal Presentation: Healthy Habits and Hand Sanitizer Discussion – Information
Reviewed CSD Policy for hand sanitizer. Silver Mesa will add hand sanitizer in common areas. Principal Wagner updated SCC that Nurse Despain is starting personal hygiene/healthy habits lessons leading into flu season about the importance of hand washing and staying healthy. Teachers will continue to encourage students to wash hands.
- Discussion: December SCC Meeting – Action
Council discussed the need for a December meeting. Principal Wagner reviewed upcoming tasks and due dates for SCC.
- January: TSSA and LandTrust budget reviews, resources and allocations
- February: Mid-year data presentation, TSSP and Land Trust progress report, 2026-2027 Goals – 1st Discussion
- March: 2026-2027 Goals Budgets, Resources and Allocations – 2nd Discussion
- April: 2026-2027 School Plans Finalized
- May: Progress Reports, SCC Plan 2026-2027
Council determined December meeting would not be needed at this time. Kiley Rasmussen made a motion to cancel the December, 2025 meeting. Kimberley Ranney seconded the motion. All members in attendance voted in favor – Motion carries.
