Dear Parents,
Respiratory illnesses are increasing across our school and district. We do have air purifier systems in every classroom and gathering space as a mitigation support. If your child has a persistent cough, that is something they need to stay home for. Students also need to stay home if they have a fever over 100.4 degrees or are generally unwell and can’t participate in the school day. I’ve attached the district’s guidance for when to keep students home. Thanks!
Kindness Is Cool
Here are some examples of kindness happening at our school these past couple of months. We have the best students!
Kanon Williams (Kindergarten) – helped a friend
Naomi Chavez (4th grade) – wrote a kind note to teachers in the school
Arabella Zank (5th grade) – sat by someone at lunch who was left alone
Kiersten Valdez (5th grade) – took a student’s glasses back to class for her so they would not break

WATCH D.O.G.S. ® (Dads Of Great Students) is a family and community engagement educational initiative.
There are 2 primary goals of the WATCH D.O.G.S. ® program.
1) To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
2) To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
